Kleopatra Skouloudi | Florentini Skouloudi_Kaloutsi |
Efthymia Moatsou |
The first President was Cleopatra Skouloudis – mother of Florentini Skouloudis-Kaloutsis, who was also a founding member. Parren had the idea “to use the artist Miss Florentini Skouloudi as a mediator of the transplanting and engraftment of the establishment of the Chania branch of the Lyceum Club of Greek Women”. Cleopatra Skouloudi remained until 1923, laid the foundations and marked the course of the Lyceum with her prestige and personality. Its work is artistic, educational, pedagogic and entertaining, but mainly focuses on the care of the families of the fighters of the Balkan Wars and the Asia Minor Campaign.
In 1923, Efthymia Moatsou – one of the founding members – took over as President until 1927. Naturally, at this historical juncture, the work of the Lyceum focused on the care of refugees.
In 1927, Anna Vamvaka became President and served the Lyceum for 51 consecutive years until 1966. The Lyceum develops social action, participates in the cultural events of the city with artistic and literary activities, many of which also aim to collect money for the feedback of his work. A respectable amount raised for housing is spent on the relief of our soldiers who were fighting in the snowy mountains of Albania. The coveted roof at Mitsotaki 1 was acquired later and inaugurated in December 1954.
From 1966 to 1989, Chrissi Manolikaki was President. She broadens the horizons of the Lyceum with the dance group that represents Greece and is distinguished in international festivals, leading the Greek tradition outside the borders of Crete and Greece. The Lyceum participates in local and national festivals and tries to preserve elements of folk culture with its events.

Zoi Mitsotaki |
In 1989 Zoi Mitsotakis took over as President until July 2015 when she suddenly passed away. She renovated the hall of the Lyceum and with a team of friends and volunteers organized an exhibition dedicated to the work of Florentini Kaloutsis in 1991, while in 1996 she gathered cultural relics from the beginning of the century – a time that coincided with the founding of the Lyceum. With these two exhibitions and the subsequent donations, two of the museum collections of the Lyceum, of the designs and weavers of Florentini Kaloutsi and of the urban life of the city at the beginning of the century, were founded.
In 2015 and 2016, the Vice-President Ririka Myridaki performed the duties of President.
For the four-year term 2017-2021, Tatiana Kourakis was elected President.
